I am trying to overclock my AMD 2700+ on an A7N8X with 512 MB of XMS3200. I have a Antec True380 P/S and a Vantec Aeroflow VA4-C7040 HSF. My specs and hardware is all capable of reasonable overclocking, yet I am unable to overclock at all. Any time I run any settings other than Aggressive (which is the system default, stock speeds), I get "CPU have over speed."

Is there any way to turn off this overclocking watchdog? I could not find it anywhere?

Would a newer bios possibly fix this problem? Not sure which version mine is, but it is a very early release.

a flash to the latest upgrade always helps.
Also, i believe that u can turn off cpu speed error hold in the bios.

Good luck
