Hey All!

I was wondering if the asus a7n8x deluxe reports the temperatures for the north and southbbridge chipsets? I replaced the stock heatsink off the northbridge with a waterblock, but dont know if i put it on correctly or if it made good contact? Can anyone who has this board please post their northbridge temps so i can compare? What do you think that chipset would run at normally and then with watercooling? Thanks for all your help!

??.. This is not typically an area you need to worry too much about. Thy chipsets only get hot when you do a lot of file swapping in and out of memory. Even then a large passive heatsink is more than enough. I don't know what the actual temp is supposed to be but if you got a waterblock on it even if it's not on straight it should be fine. As a rule of thumb for digital circuits stay below 60 degrees C. Hope that helps...

To err is human... to really screw things up you need a computer!

I am doing this mod to the northbridge because i am looking to push the fsb to 400 on my a7n8x. I heard this is largely affected by the northbridge so thats why i am striving for excellence. Anybody have any temps or hints?
