I'm building a new system and I'm looking at getting a Gigabyte GA-8INXP using the E7205 (Granite Bay) chipset. I thought that the E7205 only supported dual channel DDR266, so what happens if I put some dual channel DDR333 in there? Will the system work and just use lower timings for the memory or can it make use of the extra speed? If I went to DDR400 would I get any extra speed? I'm looking at buying this:

It says it's tested for the E7205 so I guess that already really answers my question to whether or not it would work, but will it run at 333 or 266? Also, if I put two pairs of this memory in will the memory run slower then it would if there was only one pair?

it will work fine at the slower speeds. Overclocking of course, is always a possibility but not a necessity.

It's always the one thing you never suspected.

OK, what about the other part of my question: if I put two pairs of this memory in will the memory run slower then it would if there was only one pair?
