I was browing another thread and saw a comment on p4 does not support dual procs?

Anyone have more info or a link?

I had been keeping my eye out for a dual p4 HT board for my next megamachine, but I havent done any research yet..

Anyone looked down this path yet?

/drool p4 w/HT 3 gig x2

Comments, opinions, suggestions?

As far as I know, there are no dual proc P4 mobos on the market. The best you could do at this time is go Xeon if you want dual procs.

Xeon are P4 but with a extra validation for SMP (mostly cache corenhency)

also all xeon have HT enable but normaly run at bit lower speed

Like you've read over and over, no dual P4. The current Xeon is the dual capable version of the P4, using the P4 core. Intel charges more for them, of course. They do have HT. And here's the kicker: You're not going to find an "enthusiast" board for the Xeon, boards for the XEON are aimed purely at stability and basic functionality.

Hmmm, well I was pretty enthusiastic about the MSI E7505 Master LS2 but it didn't perform so well in the 2cpu.com review of E7505 boards so I'm wondering about whether I should be enthusiastic about the Iwill DP533S Intel E7505 Dual Xeon P4 board but I had such a bother with the Iwill DVD266µ-RN compared to the MSI Pro266TD that I swore I would never buy Iwill again.
