I just installed GTA IV and plugged my USB PC controller that looks like a PS2 controller, I've used this controller with other games and it works.

But with some reason GTA IV doesn't detect my controller i can't even change controller configuration i can only use the Keyboard and it
Sucks.

Does this game only works with an Xbox 360 controller? do i need to buy one so the game can detect it?

patch it up. the latest patch adds support for directplay controllers.

I already Installed patch 1.0.3.0 which is the latest and I even turned on Direct Input in the Game and Still doesn't detect my Controller, I'm using a generic usb controller that i have used in other games before.

What do i need to do?
