i have an iomega hd and without warning it dissappeared. Checked with disk management and it said it was 'unlocated' . After i reboot the machine then it appears again with another volume letter (it was 'j' and it changed to 'f' but the problem is it became RAW and its not acesssible .It says i have to format, but i have very important dat over there 635 gb of my work as a musician. Can someone help to change it back to NTFS without formating ?

  1. Have you tried rebooting again? I had a USB drive go into "RAW" mode, and unplugging/replugging didn't fix it but rebooting did.
