Is there a difference between news.microsoft.com and msnews.microsoft.com?
Which should I use?

I originally set the server as news.microsoft.com but some of the Microsoft
web links cause msnews.microsoft.com to be used.

If you did a DNS lookup on the IP names:

nslookup news.microsoft.com
nslookup msnews.microsoft.com

you would see they go to the same IP address:

207.46.248.16

Two IP names for the same IP address. You end up at the same place.
Humans use IP names for recognition. Computers use IP addresses.

I use msnews.microsoft.com without any problems. Haven't used
news.microsoft.com for a long time.
