Is it safe to assume that all NF2/KT400 chipset boards will have CPU Overheat Protection ?

What about CPU temperature monitoring...any one come across a board that actually uses the on-die sensor to monitor core temperature ?

I've seen it suggested that manufacturers have found this too difficult (or too expensive) to implement.

It would be helpful if the review team could re-visit this issue.

Bah... mobo cpu temps should only bew used for ball parking temps and setting thermal shutdown... If you want real temps you should take a manual reading using a proper temp gauge.

NF@ boars should have temp monitoring and thermal shutdown although the latter is likely is the form of some type of software...

Temp monitoring is damn easy if you don't care about crasy accuracy... one small ic that sells for say 50 cents or less from Texan instrunments... you give it power... it gives you temp in volatage... then you just wire it to the bios... done and done...; agan not terribly acurate plus minus a few degrees... but whatever...

To err is human... to really screw things up you need a computer!
