I notice that every time I start my Windows in my Device Manager I'll get this exclaimation mark in my System Devices - Motherboard resources states that
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because there is a duplicate device already running in the system. (Code 42)"
I'v tried reinstall the mobo driver, reinstall Windows, update my BIOS from 1001G to 1002 to 1002A but no good.
This error didn't give me much trouble but I suspect my system reboot during running WinSocks Information in Sisoftware Sandra 2003 may be due to this.
I use AMD Athlon XP 2600+, Asus A7N8X Deluxe (Driver v1.16 from Asus, BIOS v1002A), 2 sticks of 256MB Kingston PC2700 ValuRAM, Hercules 3D Prophet 9700 Pro (Catalyst 3.1 from Hercules), and Windows XP Pro SP1. I would appreciate any help here.

This is for your motherboard? Usually if you have errors like that it's because you have two video cards or things like that. If it is indeed your motherboard, I suggest you backup your hard drive, do a low-level format, and reinstall windows XP. That will cure all your ails even better than Windex or Robitussin.

Well is it because of my graphic board, I do have two graphic driver installed, it's also strange that my system detect another 9700 Pro after my installation. So basically I just remove the "secondary" graphic driver and everything would be fine I guess. Thanks.

It would be because of the old drivers. You would have to uninstall the old ones, then install the new ones. If you have onboard, you would have to disable it from the bios.

I don't have an old driver, mine was clean install but my system actually detect there are two 9700 Pro instead of one in my system.

Well, try my suggestion of low-level formatting your hard drive. That clears up lots of stuff a simple format won't.
