Can't change resolution

My resolution is stuck at 640 by 800

This is after dell support had helped un-corrupt some critical system files

im wondering if i need to install new video drivers in order to be able to
change my resolution to 700 by 1200

or what i need to do

also how to i check to see which video card i have?

Hi,

Yes, you need to reinstall or update your video driver. Check your system
documentation as to what display adapter you have.
