I have my xbox 360 hooked up to my hdTV through HDMI. I have my sound being put
out of my TV to my stereo. The problem is, when I play, I often hear the sound coming
out of the two speakers backwards (left sound on right side and vice versa.) it's not
hooked up incorrectly and without me even touching anything it will work correctly part
of the time. I'm mostly playing Halo 3 xbox live while noticing this. Any suggestions?

I had a problem similar to this once. Make sure everything is pushed in as far as it will go. It worked for me.

There are some settings from the dashboard to set up your audio options. Make sure it's set for 2 channel sound. It may have defaulted to 5.1 when you selected HDMI as the output.
