my system can defiantly handle crysis for starters,

i completely reinstalled windows and before installing anything other than all the new drivers i installed crysis and it starts up and i hear all the sounds of the opening stuff(crytek, nvidia, EA,etc) and i get to the main menu and the cursor appears (the green triangle one)and if i move it around i hear the clicks of it moveing across the buttons, BUT NO DISPLAY (expect for the cursor)

do you have dual monitors setup?
My copy of flight sim x does the exact same thing.
It shows up on the wrong screen.
Try this, right click the icon in the task bar. (you may have to use alt tab first to get get your cursor there)
Left click move and hold down while pulling mouse towards your main sceen.

Id agree with papalarge123, would b worth reinstalling the game 1st to see if that works. If the 1.2 update isnt installin properly then maybe its just a problem wiv the game install. Easy option to try 1st even if it dont work

Well, this isn't exactly the answer you're hoping to see, but just go download and install the CCC 2.21 mod (with the ToD mod too) and, put the "level 5" install in, and run it under DX9. It will look, and perform, MUCH better than the standard Crysis at "Very High" DX10 settings.

I have a Q6600 (2.4ghz) on Vista 32bit with only 2GB RAM and an HD4870, I play Crysis at 1440x900 with 8xAF and 0xAA.

Stock "Very High" settings on DX10 I would get like 25-26fps average. With the CCC 2.21 Mod @ level 5 on DX9, it looks even better and I'm averaging 37-38fps. The game is very poorly optimized out-of-the box.

well i just figured out how to install the 2.1 patch,
FIRST i installed 1.1 that worked, THEN 2.1, then 2.1.1 and it worked,
i was hoping it would fix the dx10 issue but NO >:, so... still cant play DX10

ok this is weird, so i thought wut the heck and i put the disc in and clicked play on the auto start menu and it worked perfectly fine (it was defiantly in dx10 mode)
but there is 2 reasons why that isnt a solution, it isnt my disc (friends) and i dont want to put it in everytime i want to play even if it was mine
so i got thinking it was the exe or similar, so i went and got a no-CD crack but that still didnt fix my problem (well it made it so i didnt need the disc lol)
