Ic... your in a rush eh... hehe... well I don't have much experience with RDram boards.. but I have a friend who uses the ASUS P4T533 and is happy with it. ASUS is also very reliable so I don't think you can go wrong. As for the intel board... sorry beats me... I'm sure someone out there has tested these boards for comparisson...

To err is human... to really screw things up you need a computer!

I'm kind of a newbie, so I'm probably not qualified to offer advice. But if you want a comparison:

I actually do have the Intel board. It works very well, but if you're looking to overclock or whatever, it simply doesn't have the options. From what I've read, I would imagine the Asus has more. Also, I don't think the Intel board comes with as many goodies. Things like USB 2.0, and a RAID controller.

In fact, I have almost that exact system. 2.8GHz Pentium 4, D850EMV2, 1GB PC800 RDRAM. Again, I'm no expert, but if I had it all to do again, I'd probably get the PC1066 RDRAM. It's really not that much more expensive right now, and it lets you take advantage of the 533MHz FSB. The PC800 will effectively limit you to 400MHz, or so I'm given to understand.

Up to you. Good luck and happy hunting. :)

Okay, I just wanted to add this, since after looking over the prices for RDRAM on newegg, they were a little higher than I thought. It would cost you $132 to get 2 sticks of PC1066 RDRAM (Samsung). It would cost anywhere from $40 to $110 to get the same amount of PC800. So it IS a fair amount cheaper. :)

However, even though the PERCENT price difference may be quite high, we're still talking on a relatively small scale overall ($80 isn't really very much when buying a computer). Long term, I think the PC1066 is probably better.
