Thanks for quick answer, only thing a kind of a problem is with this
user that his XP is pre-installed on local computer dealer and he has no
Internet connection in use But this clears this situation especially
that in this computer dealer has NOT included original Operating System
CD within Which is OEM version, but the disk I thought that one solution
could be to start it with a disk and rerun XP installation cause he has
nothing of a value on that machine, except some letters But if im
remembering correctly XP needs to be registered via Internet or it for
some period of times hangs?
But thats for it now, only instruction i can make to him is to council
with dealer for this problem
With thanks

XP can also be validated a/k/a Windows Product Activation over the phone.

Is it XP home or pro? Did he create a user account (the only one) or is he
using the administrator account? (I.E. When setting up XP, one usually sets
up an account, then uses that, which hides the admin account). If so, and
password for admin is either empty or some known password,

In XPpro, when on login screen, press Ctrl_Alt-Del twice, enter
administrator and leave password empty (usually when shop has setup
machine). Go to CtrlPanel, User Accounts and modify his accounts password

If XPhome, goto SafeMode(any) (when booting machine, start and keep tapping
F8 when BIOS finishes). This is automatically Admin account. Now
CtrlPanel->UserAccounts etc...

No, nyt tämän lauantain kuluttua iltaa kohden kone vihdoin toimii,
aktivoivattomana seuraavat 30 vrk??? Kännykällähän tietysti toimii sen
aktivointikin
Melko hurjia uskomuksia tuli muutenkin ilmoille "haamuyhteydestä"
verkkoon, siis tietosellaiseen jonka päätöpselin virkaa hoitaa valtion

I am a novice computer user and I have also forgotten the password to the
Admin accoung. I am wondering if I use the 'Safe Mode' to access the Admin
account, will I still have to put in my password to change to a new password?
Also, will lose access to any documents that are in My Documents as I have
set up so that others using the computer cannot look at my files.

Hi,

Regardless of what mode you use, the password is the same. If you have
access to another account with admin-level privileges, then you can reset
the admin password. Otherwise, scroll about halfway down this page:
