Heeelp. I just bought all the parts to build a new computer. ESC K7S5A Pro MB, AMD 1800+, 512meg DDR2700 Kingston RAM, 400watt AMD P/S, Albatron GeForce4 MX440sed DDR64meg videocard, Volcano Silent 9 cpu fan, artic silver paste.
System runs great at 101 degrees f! Surf the web fine, play mp3 movies, play Age of Empires 2 fine (intro movie is very staggered).
But when I try to play EverQuest or Half Life its unplayable. Graphics are very choppy, shadows are holes in the screen, lights flashing.
Software is WinXP sp1(all updates), Detonator 4.1.0.9, DirectX 8.1a, Motherboard drivers are what came with the board. They seem to be newer than the ones offered on the ESC website. Of course all my games I play are all patched and updated.
Half Life techsupport is saying that there may be an issue with the SIS AGP drivers. But it seems that I have the newest ones. Anyone know what to do?
I might just have to return this motherboard! (
