At bootup the system searchs for a raid configuration. It takes over 10 seconds of the boot time (45 seconds). Can you disable this in bios if you do not have a raid setup?
You cannot disable it in BIOS, but there is a jumper on the mainboard (SATA_EN1), that will allow you to disable the SATA headers. I don't run SATA myself, so I cannot comment on disabling the RAID if you do run SATA, but if you do I would imagine that, as with most RAIDs, you could enter the RAID configuration manager when prompted and reconfigure it to non RAID. But again, if you are not using SATA devices, just change the SATA_EN1 jumper on your mainboard.
