I just got my new comp build for like 2-3 days now. Now I'm trying to install games like Mirror's edge and COD4 it locks up in the middle of installing. So I need help in figuring out what is wrong with my computer.

Comp Stats:
Q6600
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
SAPPHIRE 100245L Radeon HD 4850 512MB
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066
Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB

Do I need to install the latest driver?
I installed the new Catalyst Software Suite 9.1
But I only install the driver for the motherboard from the CD that included from it, do I need to install the latest one from Gigabyte site?

First thing I would do is a memory test just to be sure there's no problem there.

Unlikely to be graphics drivers as you are only installing and not actually running the game.

How do I do a memory test? Sry I'm a noobie in these things

So I use this program memtest86+ and run it with 1 stick first then then do the other stick and both fine and run both together?

Install software to monitor CPU temps, check when CPU busy. Download and run HD manufacturers diagnostic. What speed are you running CPU? What PSU, make & model? Speedfan will also let you monitor the 12V value while under load.
