im trying to set up a test lab and i need to know the power consumption for 17 inch monitors, any one got any links to monitor model average power consumtion. i can figure out the consumption for the computers and servers, but the monitors give no clues.

don't they have a wattage or amperage rating? application of ohms law should yield the figure you want

ive got an viewsonic 17" crt. standard high end 17" monitor really... according to the manual it draws 130W at full power, and 15W on standby.

im at work, using a SGI O2 300mhz R5000, with dual SGI monitors, 21" and 19". :smile:

work on one... toms on the other :wink:
