Hi. I believe I fried the internal power supply of my PS2 slim with a large jolt of static electricity. Unit will not power on. Red indicator light is visible but will not turn green when button is pushed. Tried replacing that small circuit board and ribbon behind switch but no luck. Any other suggestions???

Similar issue with PSP, fixed by bypassing charging fuse. This will be very risky if you would cause any damage to the unit in the future. I suggest a motherboard replacement, but if you want to risk it, you could look online for "bypass ps2 power fuse" or something along those lines.
