hey which is better? I already have the a7v8x, would i get any proframce difference if i changed to the a7n8x? Also the a7n8x says it supports dual channel ddr, doest the a7v8x?

No, the a7v8x doesn't support dual channel ddr.

The a7n8x is faster, especially in dual channel mode, but I don't know if you'd get enough of a performnce boost to make the upgrade worth it.

each of the 2 sticks of ram has it's own memory controller, doubling the memory bandwidth available.

Yes, but only with DUAL Channel DDR enabled and the performance boost wont be more than 3-5%.

Be proud of your choice. Yeah in Benchmark nForce2 do beat KT400 in every aspect (including price), but you already purchased one, so be content to it. To me buying a A7N8x to replace A7V8X is total stupid, even your existing mobo is free you should save the money. Cash is hard to be earned.

Or may be you just want to know which one is better, then the answer is A7N8X.
