Hello folks.

Are we likely to see much of a difference in performance between motherboards with dual DDR266 and motherboards with dual DDR400?

Does it depend upon the applications, used?

If so, I am interested in knowing, specifically, if the differences seen in digital audio editing and digital video editing would be significant.

Thanks much!

E7005 is a mini workstation and SIS 655 is a gamer overclocker chipset

On spec view perf E7005 is faster

On quake or others SIS 655 gain edge with DDR 400 Cas 2 (but run at 2.5)

I850E RDRAM still win some benchmark on office type sientific load.Still result are mix some time with E7005.

Look at anadtech benchmark with abit BH7 there a godd suite of benchmark also look at toms benchmark

The difference won't be huge or even significant coz digital audio/video editing relies more on the amount of memory than speed of memory.

Actually the parts that affect the performance of a/v editing most are the speeds of hard disk drive and CPU.
