i tried playing half life games from steam with my xbox remote and wireless reciever and none of the buttons work nothing on the remote does anything i installed the xbox remote program too. also i callibrated the remote and the buttons worked on tne callibration but not on steam games. if some one could help before the week is over that would be great because my dad told me if i dont get the remote to work by the of this week hes returning the remote.

Could be one of several issues:

1: Game doesn't support joystick
2: Joytick input for the 360 controller not supported
3: Lack of power (500 ma avaliable for USB hubs, MS mouse uses 250 and wirless reciever uses 200, meaning one USB device can cause a condition of not having the necessary power to use all USB devices)

Playing a FPS on a PC with an Xbox controller???!?!?! Why? I assume you are not going to play any MP. Good lucky to you.
