Hi, I'm trying to search out a new board that has agp 1,2,and 3 spec with a agp pro universal slot. Why? Because I have a multi monitor 2x agp card, and would like to find a board that can do 2x,4x and 8x with 3.3, 1.5, and 0.8 volts. Is there such a bird out there? I'm not a gamer, just want to be able to use new cards has they come out. I have a feeling that if I buy a board with 2/4x agp, when my vid card goes out a year later, everything will be 8x and I'll have to buy a new board again.

There are no AGP8x boards that support AGP 1.0. AGP 1.0 and 3.0 are exclusive to each other, you either get 1.0/2.0 or 2.0/3.0.

So you would need an AGP 2x/4x board. But it gets worse, as AGP4x boards for the P4 are AGP 2.0 exclusively. Therefore you would need an AGP4x board for AMD or PIII!

As for AGP8x, it won't matter for quite a while, and the cards are backwards compatable.
