Hello, All!

I just installed XP Pro and Office 2k3. When I start OL up and to initiates
a 'Send and Receive' for my mail it takes about 30 seconds before anything
actually happens. I have a dual boot with w2k (which I've used for years)
and OL on that system, once it is loaded and starts the S&R does so
immediately. Any thoughts on why the XP setup is so slow; it is as if it is
doing a bunch of internal stuff before it actually asks the POP3 for my
mail.

p.s. this is not hooked up to exchange

Thanks.

Colonel Blip.
