I want to try one of these maps from the released section but would be cool if they are running on a server

Looks like the Farm of Death map can be played in vs. I wish the L4D had a regular server list rather than the crappy lobby. Anyone know of 3rd party program where you can get a list of servers and maps being played?

I am with you there. Don't you just love the "Searching for dedicated server" wait time.

Yeah I hear that. Oh wait...I just found this. I am going to try this tonight

However, one of the cool things about both Valve and its Steam service is that Valve can quickly issue patches for their games and they have done just that for Left 4 Dead. If you want the traditional server browser you can now access it via the developer console. In the menu access Options, then Keyboard/Mouse, and then enable the Developer Console. After that hit your ~ key on your keyboard which should enable the dev console. After that type in "openserverbrowser" and you should see what's in our screenshot; a very familiar looking server browser.

Hey this actually works. It has a few bugs with freezing up when I get disconnected from a server but it does the trick

Thanks for the tip!
