Hello, this is a posting for computer I can get for $1000. Is this a good deal?


Here are the specs:

That build is so-so. The 1000W PSU is complete overkill. That HDD is not the best. And you may as well get a $180 XFX 5870 instead of a MUCH worse 6870.

You should post in the new build section and build your own if you're gonna get all the parts individually anyways. We can get you something better.

Also, are you a student or will a student be using the computer? If so, you can get Windows for $30.

You all have been a lot of help. I am a student and would very much like to know where to get windows for $30.
 


Actually it was $30 when launched but IIRC they raised the price after January -- it now shows $65 -- still a decent deal but not as good as it was before January.
