Im trying to upgrade my graphics card from a Asus V7700 to a 128MB GEForce4 TI4200 from Palit. The system runs fine for 5-10 min and then it freezes up. The TI4200 card runs fine in my other machine (witch uses an old Asus motherboard) so it's not a problem with the card but with the card and motherboard in combination. I've upgraded the BIOS and AGP driver to the latest version.
Does anyone have a sugestion?

My system is configured as follows:
Motherboard: ECS K7S5A.
CPU: Athlon XP 1700.
RAM: 1 GB SDRAM.
Old Graphicscard: 32MB Asus V7700.
New card: 128MB Palit TI4200.
Opperating System: Windows XP Pro with SP1.

Yes, are you using generic memory and what PSU are you using?

You're going to need a good PSU for that board and I recommend using quality memory.

yup, I agree 100% with what the previous poster just replied with. For the k7s5a you HAVE, absolutley HAVE to have a quality power supply, none of these generic pos's. Also quality memory is a must. I'd look at your tempertures also.

I've tried to switch power supply in my two machines, and now both of them works, thanks a lot.
