I have been having issues with my Supermicro P3TDDE. It's a dual 1.13ghz with 1gb ram. It seems that the system is stable for about 3-6 days, and then it freezes. I have even tried to put in only one stick of ram, because I thought the problem was the mixed memory I was using. The system still froze.
I contacted the Supermicro support and they think it's my ATI rage pro AGP video card. When I went to check the server last time it froze, norton antivirus 2003 was trying to run. I have disabled it, and am waiting to see if it freezes still. Anyone have any ideas?
Had the same problem with mine. Used ECC memory, tried different video and other peripheral cards, tried every possible setting in BIOS but no luck. The problem got worse until it locks up after just a few minutes. I think there is something wrong with the chipset or with the way Supermicro has implemented it. Do yourself a favor and dump that piece of junk.
