Hi,

I've been trying to play Fallout 3 on my PC and as soon as game-play is about to load the screen goes black and my desktop appears as if I exited the game?

Is my set up too slow/below requirements?

SPECS: Processor- AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+ 1.8GHz
RAM- 4GB
Hard Drive- 2 Hard drives, one 500GB and one 260GB
OS- MS XP Pro
Graphics- ATI Radeon 9600 256MB
MoBo- Asus A8V

I'm guessing it's the processor but I'm not sure? Can anyone shed light on where I'm in need of upgrading?

Thanks,
Jay

I had this problem with an under powered graphics card. I had to replace the psu due to the gpu eating up all the juice. I would get to play for maybe 5 or 10 min and then it was like you said, like i quit the game a went back to desk top. I ended up upgrading the gpu but that is because i wanted better performance. So it may have to do with the gpu and or power supply. But that is just from my experience.

My Specs.
Cpu- E2180 dual core 2.0ghz
Gpu- GeForce 9400gt 512mb
OS- Vista 64bit
MoBo- MSI P43NEO3-F
