Can the administrator change the partition size of a drive in Windows 2000 Pro? If so, how is it done? Please excuse my ignorance.

Music equals changing frequencies in space over time!

Click "Start-Help" in the Help window click "Index", type in "Disk Management", sellect "Setting Up Disks", read, learn, enjoy.

I could be wrong but I do not think windows gives you any utilities to dyamicaly change the partionsize without repartion and reformat. A third party product will do this for you, look at partion magic, this will spin the partion size up for ya. In server I know you can only add to a partion size (actualy you can not it is a dynamic disk span) but that is server not pro.

This might be simple to alot of peeps here, but I still cringe when you mess with a partion, so back it up, or atleast grab the "documents and settings" folder.
