Hi. I just built a new i7 rig with GTX 285. Was running beautifully, stable, no OC. On COD5 I was getting 91 fps with everything maxed. Then I installed Fallout3 and started crashing COD5. When I start the game, I choose single player mode and then the screen goes black then desktop. I uninstalled FO3 and did a system restore. Still crashing. I need help. Thanks.

I also reinstalled COD5. Still crashing.

Thanks man. I tried the sound fix to no avail. I've update DX twice but not the way you explained. I'll try it.
