i currently have xp-pro installed as a stopgap. originally my comp. came with
xp-home. nowi got all my data off the hard drive (docs pix etc) and i am
ready to do a hard reformat,
but my hp pavilion 533w is not recognizing my recovery cd's.

hp keeps telling me to go a bottable diskette with a file name of
"boot98se.exe". i have xp home.

if anyone has any ideas i would greatly appreciate it! i do not have a
seperate windows cd, it is built into my recovery cd.

Open My Computer, insert a floppy into the A: drive, right click, select
format, and tick the box that says make a startup disk or go to bootdisk.com
and download one.
