* On the low-end, motherboards with the 845PE chipset would be a good choice. Abit BH7, for example.

* On the high-end, motherboards with the new Canterwood chipset. These just came out so I don't know which ones are recommendable.

Since you specified 533 MHZ FSB processor I'd recommend the <A HREF="http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/bh7/" target="_new">Abit BH7</A> or <A HREF="http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/it7max2v2/" target="_new">IT7 MAX 2 Ver. 2.0</A> as a DDR solution or the <A HREF="http://www.giga-byte.com/MotherBoard/Products/Products_GA-8IHXP(3.0).htm" target="_new">Gigabyte GA-8IHXP</A> as a Rambus solution.

The reviews I've read so far agree Canterwood boards real performance increase comes with the 800 MHz processor and DDR 400 memory. With the 533 MHz processor the Canterwood memory is locked at DDR 333.

It depends on the performance level you desire, and upgradibilty you might want. The 875P chipset boards support all P4 bus speeds (400/533/800), the chipset is faster than any other P4 chipset (even at 533 bus), and it allows you future CPU compatability.
