Catalyst Driver 4.7 problems

Last response: in Applications

On july 14, i downloaded the new catalyst 4.7 driver. On the same day i bought a new monitor (KDS xtreme flat), and after i installed the new driver, i was experienceing video inturuption issues. I have a ATI Radeon 9600xt, and the monitor would all the sudden just go into power save mode and shut down, even when i was doin something, surfing the internet ect. I finally rolled the driver back to the previous one, and now the problem is gone. I just wanna know is there something i can do to fix it to were i can download the new driver again, or am i stuck with my current driver forever?

I have the same problem...I have the 9600XT with a Dell 17" CRT, and had the same issue with all CAT drivers above 4.3

So far the only solution I have found is goung back to 4.3, but it would be nice to try the newer driver, see if they make a difference.

Spec:
Intel P4 2.4B
MSI 645E Max-U Mobo
1GB DDR333
R9600XT 128MB
SB Live 5.1
Samsung 120GB
Maxtor 120GB
LG DVD+-R/RW
WIN2K PRO SP4

that happened to me once upon a time...now i dont know wut fixed it but here are some of the solutions i made>>>

download omega drivers at omegadrivers.net
and maybe you did not install any drivers for your monitor...look for those

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
ASUS K8V SE Deluxe
512 MB Kingston PC3500
Sapphire ATI R9800 Pro 128 MB
80 GB Seagate ATA133
80 GB Hitachi SATA

I have the inf files for my monitor, and I have tried the Omega drivers as well, and with the same results.

I e-mailed ATI Tech support, but all they said was to download the newer drivers...Well DUH, the problem I have IS with the newer drivers...
