First my specs:

Antec 1200 - Case
i7 920 (4.0 ghz) - Processor
ASUS P6T Deluxe - Mobo
XFX GTX 295 - Video Card
Corsair HX1000W - Power Supply
Corsair Dominator 6GB DDR3 1866 mhz - RAM

When playing Everquest 2 and attempting to switch to windowed mode, my pc will completely freeze up. I let it sit there for 45 minutes and it didn't go anywhere. When I attempt to go to Windowed mode it completely freezes up on me.

My video card drivers are up to date. I'm suspecting that this has something to do with my video card drivers or SLI.

Anyone know of a fix or solution? I've been browing forums and it seems this occurs in eq2, wow, and war.

It might be your graphics card locking up, im not sure, i've heard WoW doesnt like the GTX 295 and that might be your problem.

Is there a fix? I'm going to try to disable SLI since I only use one monitor at this time.

It could work, you could try.

I personally have no experience with the BIG cards and i currently play with a 4850, but try disabling SLI.

*by big i mean the more expensive cards, 4870x2/GTX 295

try to check all you drivers if installed correctly and update your direct x also... ^_^

ALSO, try to uninstall any old drivers you might have had.

Disabling multiple GPU was a quick fix for me. It's just probably because all these MMORPG's are built with older engines and they can't support the newest VGA cards.

I think the Graphic cards are way ahead of the developers technology...

Defenitly, which is why im going with a more mid range system now then a high end system, im pretty much waiting till after summer so i can upgrade my pc with a bigger budget. Like i said, lots of these older games dont like the newer GPUs or SLI/CF
