"Knightblade" is the newest game developed by "3000 AD" (Derek Smart). I'm wondering if this game will be a major improvement from their previous titles or whether the same mistakes will be repeated once again. For those who don't know, "Knightblade" continues the series which started with "Battlecruiser 3000 AD" in 1992. I've always been interested in this line of games because the concept that they pursuing is very unique and seems to have a lot of potential. In one of their previous open-ended games you can fly a capital space ship to a planet, take a drop ship and land on the planet, drive out on a jeep or a tank, and exit the vehicle to walk around by foot like in a first person shooter game. The idea of blending space simulator with first person shooter provides very versatile gameplay possibilities, but the game suffered from average graphics, a lot of bugs and very demanding "raw" and unpolished gameplay. Still, I am not loosing my hope.
