I have just installed a Soundblaster 24 Live soundcard and expected
Windows XP Professional to pick it up on a reboot. It hasn't, so I
disabled the AC97 sound function from the Motherboard in BIOS and tried
a reboot. Still no detection of the new hardware. Has anyone got any
ideas as to why this happens. Am I missing something?

What does Creative support say? Is it expected that the card is
detected automatically or do you have to install it manually?
