Hi, I have a question probably 99.9% of you know the answer, but somebody has to be the 1/10% who doesn't know..so here is the question: If I built myself a new computer, do I have to buy the full Windows XP version or can I install the XP upgrade? It seems expensive to plunk down $200 for full version when the whole reason I'm DIY'ing is to save money. Thanks.

Buy OEM instead of retail. The full OEM versions cost about the same as the retail upgrade boxes... and you don't have to worry about hunting down an old Windows CD everytime you need to reload.

If you design software that is fool-proof, only a fool will want to use it.
