Call of Duty World at War install gets stuck

I have a legit COD disk I borrowed from my friend, since I have a legit code. But it seems to hang. I tried dl'ing some isos and they hang at the same spot while for others its working fine. What do I do?
My Specs:
Q6600@3.6GHz
48501GB
Asus P5Q Pro Mobo

So specs arent the issue. What is going on? And why do all installations hang the exact same spot?

There are well known issues with COD5, I had the same problem getting this to work. How far in does it hang? I had to download over a gig of patches in order to get this to work.........

Its working now, I installed in Safe mode. BTW this forum sucks because it takes people 5 days to reply. Overclock.net FTW. Thanks though
