I had to format & reload XP (virus) .Now I can not load zone alarm
and/or stomp backup my pc?

I think zone wants "active X" ??? I do not know what that is.or where to
find it..

Are you sure you completely cleaned the PC? It sounds based on the minimal
description provided, you may still have some type of virus, Trojan, malware
or spyware lurking.
What do you mean by "reload" XP? You said you formatted, but is you
reloaded your software from a backup copy, then it may have the infection
present - if you reinstalled as in a "clean" install, then XP would have
everything it needs to install ZA.
