I have a A7N8X board with an amd 2600+. My heatsink and fan is a Thermaltake tornado 7+, the case has two fans on the side panel, and my power supply has two fans. When I first installed the board and the cpu and turned it on I went into my bios and noticed that my bios showed that the cpu was running up as high as 160 degrees F. I ended up underclocking it so I could install my OS (Win XP) and then installed the pc probe software which came with the board. I then set it back up to a 2.1 ghz. The software has shown that the highest my cpu gets is about 96 degrees F as opposed to 160 F in my bios. I also updated the bios and there really wasn't any change. I have checked inside my computer when it was running and the heatsink was hot but not that high, it was more consistent with the software info. I was just curious if anyone else has had this problem with the board or if anyone has any knowledge as to maybe it really is running that hot and I just don't know it or if the censor is malfunctioning on the board.
(I wanted to post here because I think the people here are more knowledgable then asus tech support, so for those who ask no I have not contacted them yet, but if I need to I will. Just in case it isn't a user error on my part.)
