SteelSeries 3h or 5h?

Hello.. I've been on 10 dollar crappy headsets for a while and I've noticed I can't tell where my enemies are coming from in L4D. To make the story short, I wanted to invest in a better headset.

I've boiled down to 2 choices: SteelSeries 3h or 5h v2.

The reason I'm siding with 3h is:
- Cost (much cheaper since I'm not rich or near rich and without a job)
- relatively good sound
- good mic

Reason for 5h v2:
- comfort
- total sound quality
- good mic

The price difference between 3h and 5h is just a bit over 2x which is why I'm asking, do you think that the 5h is worth 2x the price of 3h?? I don't go lan partying a lot so if I game it's going to be at home most of the time.

i Voted 5h, because im really happy with mine. but to be honest. its not worth 2x the price of the 3h, its only like 1.3 - 1.5x better
save your money and get a soundcard too (100$+ for virtual surround sound)

well is it necessary to get a sound card now that the onboard ones are pretty much Realtek HD sound? Plus, the reason why it's so expensive (at least I'd try to justify) is that it's got that usb 7.1 surround sound adapter which simulates a surround sound card right?
