So in some games my computer will completely freeze up. Some games it happens rarely, some it happens in 100%.

Warhammer online and Chronicles of spellborn freeze for sure, about 1 minute into playing.

It has also happened in COD4 and Guild Wars on occasion.

What happens is the screen goes a solid color, and the last milisecond of noise repeats itself over and over.

It will do this untill manually powered down (power button)

I have confirmed that it is NOT the ram. I swapped out all my ram sticks and took turns using only one at a time. It froze still.

So what may be the problem.?

System Specs( none are overclocked)

XFX GTX 280

6gb ddr3 corsair ram at 1600mhz (3 sticks of 2gb)

Ultra X3 800watt power supply

Intel Corei7 920 at 2.67ghz

Asus P6T Deluxe
