We just bought this pinball machine. Should we take the top off to move it? We will be moving it in an enclosed trailer and can secure it from moving and rocking during the trip.

Lol i was thinking the same thing. I was like does Toms have a pinball section I somehow got lost in?

Why the heck would a bunch of techies have any idea what to do with a pinball machine. Unless by luck a poster happens to be a pinball officianato.

As to the OP I would appeal to common sense.

I think that you should take off the top and also the legs.
Cant be too careful.
You should also lower the pressure in the tires of the van to prevent rocking.

As for the glass I would recommend removing it and putting it in a different vehicle (with the deflation steps outlined above) to prevent any possibility of the main machine rocking and breaking the glass.

To that end I would also recommend wrapping the glass in at least 2 inches of protective covering and would remove the CPU and reinsert the original socket cover while at the same time being sure to protect the fan asembly.
