Low power datalogger?

I'm looking at putting together a low(ish) power datalogger that'll run Win2K and sit out in the garage writing to a laptop disk or CF disk, with an Ethernet interface so I can harvest the log files over a LAN. Low power is key, warm environment operation is key (60-90F), reliability is key (is there a no-fans option for a low power PC?).

Any thoughts?
