Hello, :)
In Control Panel, Keyboard, there is no setting for "allow this device
to wake up the system" yet my system is brand new and all ACPI
compliant. I have the keyboard/mouse set in BIOS to allow wake-up, and
although it wakes the system up, it doesn't wake the monitor and I have
to do a reset. This is a fresh install XP SP2 and the standby was
working great for several days, then stopped. Worked once again after a
bunch of fiddling. And stopped again. Device Mgr reports no conflicts.

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum mobo w/ PCIe, SATA/RAID, DPMS support
PCIe Chaintech GeForce 6200 graphics card
Adesso PS2 107-key kybd w/ built-in touchpad PS2 mouse
PolyView 19" LCD w/ DPMS support

The driver XP is using for the kybd is an internal "MS Natural Keyboard"
driver (Addesso doesn't supply a kybd drvr, as standard XP drivers work)
and the mouse is using GlidePoint Touchpad drivers.

Note: The GlidePoint drivers have not been XP-approved, but I tried the
XP-mouse driver and the results were the same. Kybd has MS keys,
including Wake/Sleep. Sleep key puts system to sleep, Wake key only
wakes system but not monitor.

BIOS is current. The system is brand new with current drivers. IOAPIC
MPS Table version chosen is 1.4.

So why isn't an option showing in Control Panel with the keyboard to
allow the device to be used to wake up the system? Or is the problem
elsewhere? (NO USB devices connected.)

I've spent almost a week on this, Googled, Yahoo!'d, MS-Knowledge-Based
and done everything else short of waving a dead chicken over my head.
And help would be greatly appreciated!

KJ
