I think it may be part of the DPS module. AFAIK DPS increases stability.

I did order that A7N8X Deluxe V 2.0 from <A HREF="http://www.excaliberpc.com/" target="_new">Excaliberpc </A> from the link you gave me. They shipped it the same day I ordered it. Looks like the service is up to snuff. I'm sure it will be a V 2.0 when it gets here. I just wanted to let you know how they did for me.

It appears that Gigabyte 7NNXP will carry a hefty price. Looks to be <A HREF="http://www.computerhq.com/hardware/partinfo-id-16504.html" target="_new">around $250</A>.

The memory capacity remain the same 3GB. That means the highest RAM capacity if you want to run them in dual channel DDR is still 2GB... so this 4 DIMM is nothing but marketing rip off.
