Hello,

I'm building shower seat and I'm making it out of 1/3” polycarbonate. I am planning to attach the polycarbonate panels using plastic epoxy and screws.
Will I get better holding power treating it like metal, and tapping holes for Machine Screws? I'd probably use 1/4-20 machine screws. I have gone through many sites like fastenersplusinc for machine screws, but as I am newbie please suggest me if any other sources are available.

Thanks

could you put some kind of stainless underframe recessed into it and tap the screws into that? I'd imagine that poly carb would be a little brittle in the threads?
