i'm trying to build a *decent* system for my parents. I was wondering which other Nforce2 mobo's have the IGP chipset other than the MSI brands, and was wondering how good the IGP was. And I want a mobo that fits the volcano 7+ or SK-7.

Plannin on NF2 IGP mobo
HyperX PC3000 RAM
OC'd 1700 JIUHB CPU
80gig
DVD
CDRW

Epox 8RGA+ is a very good one. Great overclocker.
, and was wondering how good the IGP was.
Hexus comments on the performance of Epox 8RGA+ IGP:

Normally we would expect on board graphics to only be useful for office type 2D applications and maybe DVD playback. The 8RGA+ does indeed offer excellent 2D quality and DVD playback, but this little devil does not stop there… oh no. The MX graphics can even be used, quite happily, for 3D gaming.

...

Basically we felt that the on board graphics could easily be used to play games like UT2003 at 1024x768. Only when AA and AF are enabled does it begin to show signs of stress. With no DX9 support, maybe game playing with the integrated graphics will be short lived, but for now, it’s absolutely fine.

Yes, the on board graphics are not as good as a budget dedicated AGP card, but they are significantly better than anything we have tested on an ATX motherboard so far.

It's especially important that you use the Dual DDR feature of nForce2 when using the integrated graphics. That means, at least two memory modules inserted in the appropriate memory slots.

The IGP is very crappy indeed, most definitely will not run Ut2k3 at 1024x768. The IGP is only a MX440

And when the DX9 games come out (my dad likes Flight Sim games) we can just diable MX and get a nice RADEON...

Hexus also comments on its' overclockability:

We have now seen how the EPoX 8RGA+ performs at stock speeds, but this board is just crying out to be overclocked. As mentioned earlier, nearly every overclocking tool you could wish for is available in the Bios.

FSB Adjustment from 100Mhz to 250 MHz
Vcore adjustment from 1.40v to 2.20v
AGP voltage adjustment from 1.50v to 1.80v
DDR Voltage Adjustment from 2.50v to 2.90v
VDD Chipset voltage adjustment from 1.6v to 2.0v

We were able to overclock the 8RGA+ up to a front side bus speed of 220 MHz with ease. This involved reducing the XP3000+ multiplier to 11.5, and therefore generated a clock speed of 2540 MHz. We also needed to increase vcore to 1.95v, vdim to 2.9v and vdd to 1.8v. These results were obtained using moderate air cooling.

Some impressive overclocking features. Enjoy!;)

Buy the MSI board. MSI nForce2s' are the fastest without overclocking and for overclockers, it's a good mobo.

epox is always the best for overclocking, but MSI nForce2 mobos are pretty good for overclocking
