Can't Detect ATA/ATAPI Drives For "Save TO"

This is an issue I was experiencing before my marathon bout with being locked
out of my PC (another thread).

My Pentium lll, 650Mhz, 350MB RAM, Win XP Pro SP1, IE6, OE6, system stopped
allowing me access to the CD, floppy and HDD from Explorer, some time ago. It
occurred some time after I'd been playing with Tweak UI for Win XP. I have
gone back over the settings up to 12-15 times without finding what, if
anything, I've done wrong. My only choices are Desktop, My Documents and
Network, where previously, all were displayed as long as I can remember.

It especially becomes an issue as I attempt to download and save to the
floppy drive, but is inconvenient anyway.

In order to access the drives I go to Start, Search; otherwise the drives
are nowhere to be seen.

Can someone please tell me what I can do to fix this?

Thank you,
Terry

At risk of sounding like the guy always crying wolf, since I started this
thread I HAVE learned how to make do saving downloads to the floppy without
having the floppy A drive to click on. Sheesh. Who'da thunk?

So I guess the urgency is lessened.

Thanks,
Terry

Did you access the Group Policy editor from About/Policy in TweakUI?

Thanks Colin,

Your reply got me thinking and I went back into Tweak UI and very carefully
went back over everything. After a coupla tries, I remembered it was Fresh UI
software I'd used last, and between the two, I've managed to restore the
settings I'm used to.

You know, I'm not sure you guys realize the great service you're providing
for what I understand is not big in generating returns, but you've each been
a God send to me.

Thanks again,
Terry

Happy to help. It does help to have someone else rephrase a question you're
asking.

FreshUI is a good program too.

By the way, although I have used FreshDiagnose also, I much prefer Sandra
(SiSoftware). If you want a peek, download Sandra Lite at
http://www.sisoftware.net/index.html?dir=&location=downandbuy&langx=en&a=
(copy the '=' also)
The download link is at the bottom of the table. I have the Legacy version
because I maintain a lot of older versions of Windows. The best would be
Sandra Pro 2005 if you like Lite and want everything.
